Gimme Your Love was the third and final single to be released from Through The Storm, the eighth Arista Records album by Aretha Franklin, although it was released credited to both Aretha Franklin and James Brown, as the song is a duet. The original album version of the song did not contain any input by Prince, but he contributed a remix of the song for the single release, which was included in various edits on different formats. The single did not enter the US Billboard Pop Chart, but reached number 48 on the Billboard R&B Chart.
