Elvis Presley - Hound Dog / Don’t Be Cruel - White Label Promotional Issue [RCA-6604][78 RPM].

White label 78 RPM. Reads:”Record Prevue. Disc Jockey Sample.” Has rectangular “Not for Sale” box printed on the label. Paid $385.00 for this in 2000.

I used the VJM Grading System for 78 RPMs only. The VJM Record Grading System is an internationally-used and recognized system for grading 78s. 

VJM RECORD GRADE is C7 = E : Excellent (Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches).

ADDITIONAL Record Condition Information: Record has high glossy with very light scratches that do not affect the play. Most of light scratches are in the dead wax and at the outside edge before the record grooves. No visible signs of wear in the record grooves.

LABELS: Great condition, very clean. See pictures.

According to Jerry Osborne’s Presleyana this Promo, along with the other in the series were produce in the 1970s. Vinyl is flexible. Also, as stated in Presleyana the identification numbers are engraved, and scratched over.
