Background -

Thérèse Juel has a way of making these ballads all her own, in a variety of styles and arrangements. The superb accompaniment ranges from members of the classical Stockholm Guitar Quartet to the  fusion group Kornet.
"Both words and melodies are brought to life by her mellow, gentle voice, her great musical ability and her dedication. The recording, as buoyant and clear as Thérèse's own voice, was made in a church, using the time honored, natural stereo-microphone technique. The result - a hit, a palpable hit."  - Hifi & Musik

Thérèse Annika Vibeke Ulfsdotter Juel, originally Björkman, born March 19, 1950 in Bromma parish in Stockholm, is a Swedish songwriter, radio presenter, freelance journalist, lecturer and legal investigator.

Thérèse Juel, who is the daughter of Inger Juel and Ulf Björkman, was educated by her grandmother Karin Juel and began performing already in her teens. In the years 1964 - 1969 she performed together with Marie Bergman in the duo Marie & Thérèse. Since then, she has mainly performed and toured alone with various song programs.

In the years 1984–1986, she was chairman of the Professional Troubadours Association (YTF). Between 1977 and 2006, she freelanced as a presenter and producer on Swedish Radio, and has made programs in all channels such as UR, P1, P2, P3 and P4. Among other things, it was her song program together with Maritza Horn that later led to Horn's acclaimed LP Jämmer och elände. For many Jämtlanders, she was a recurring voice on Radio Jämtland between 1992 and 2006. Over the years, there have also been numerous articles in the daily press, weekly press and monthly newspapers. LP made by OPUS 3 Records, in SWEDEN
