If nerd credit will convince you to buy an Ear Candy shirt, here's a story regarding this record for you: I booked Modeselektor for their first US gig ever in 2006 here in Missoula (they were total sports about it, mad respect), and at one point I was hanging out with Gernot in back and the opening DJ played "Windowlicker". Gernot stopped the conversation, listened to it for a few seconds, and said "ah, Windowlicker, this is the pop music of the future". Great commentary, and I've always hoped he was right.
