Up for auction is this copy of the Elvis Presley double album from the FTD label, Elvis- The Fool Album.  Both the jacket and the records are in VG+ condition and the hype sticker is included.
The history of this album is one of the strangest in the Elvis catalog.  Originally issued in 1973 shortly after the Aloha show it was simply titled Elvis.  Oddly it included one of the best Elvis covers as it used a photo from the Aloha show.  The actual Aloha album used photos from the year before in different cities.  The contents were basically leftover scraps with one song from the Aloha show (which had just been released).  Fans started referring to it as Elvis Fool and supposedly this got back to Elvis and he was less than thrilled with this subtitle.  The record didn't sell well and was quickly withdrawn and was the only Elvis record that was never re-pressed so for many years this was a fairly rare album.
FTD is the custom Elvis Presley label from Europe that works with Sony to put rare Elvis music out.  They typically do a small run of about 2000 pressings for each title and they sell out immediately.  Once they are gone they are really hard to find.
This auction starts at .99 and there is NO RESERVE.
