James Taylor 3 Vintage LP Lot Mud Slide Slim, JT, Greatest Hits VG to EX.

For auction is a lot of 3 great LPs by American singer-songwriter, multi Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, James Taylor. All are in VG or better condition and would be a fine addition to any collection. Please see pics and let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to see more photos. Below are details on the 3 records in this lot:

Mud Slide Slim And The Blue Horizon His third studio album released in 1971. Features his famous cover of Carol King’s, “You’ve Got A Friend”, his only US #1 hit. It also earned Taylor one of his six career Grammy’s. The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart. This copy is a 1st press and is play graded VG. Some light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with some mild background noise of static at times but never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Side 2 plays closer to VG+. Gatefold cover is also in VG condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams. A quarter inch split in top right of open edge. Price sticker and pen mark on back, lower right. Light ring wear. Original WB inner included and used. VG+ with no splits. A very good listeners copy!

JT Taylor’s either studio album released in June 1977. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy nomination for Album of The Year but lost to Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. Features the classic hits, “Your Smiling Face”, “Bartender’s Blues”, “Handy Man” and “Terra Nova”. The latter was co-written and sung with his then wife, Carly Simon. The record has gone triple platinum in the US selling 3 million copies. This copy is a 1st Pitman Press. Vinyl is play graded VG+. Some light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Plays with the faintest of background noise if any. No skips or jumps. Gatefold cover is in VG condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams. Bottom right side has a tiny split but no others. Light ring wear and stains on back. Original cardboard inner with lyrics and photo included but generic white used to protect vinyl. A great listeners copy!

Greatest Hits This 1976 compilation was Taylor’s first and his best selling album of his career. It has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide. Features all his classics from 1968-1976. This copy is a late 70s reissue Club Edition from Columbia House. Vinyl is play graded EX. A few light but visible surface marks and hairlines but all superficial that have no affect on playback. Plays with no background noise, skips or jumps. Gatefold cover is also in EX condition. Small dent on lower left corner. Faint ring wear on front and a little darker on back. No other shelf wear. Looks amazing! Original inner with photo is in VG+ condition and usable. An excellent listeners copy!

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!
