For auction is a very good listeners copy of the iconic album, The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. Released in 1973, Dark Side is considered one of the best and important records ever recorded in the history of music. This eighth studio record by Floyd is a concept album that explores the themes of greed, conflict, time, life/death and mental illness. It peaked at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in 1973 and as of July 2021 has spent an astounding 958 non-consecutive weeks (18+ years) on the list. It has become one of the best-selling albums of all time with over 45 million copies sold worldwide. Considered one of the best ever, it has appeared on almost every important album list including being ranked #55 on Rolling Stone’s 2021 list of “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. This copy is a UK press, 5th version from 1973. It can be identified by the matrix number runouts. SHVL 804 A-9 on side 1 and SHVL 804 B-7 on side 2.

Vinyl is play graded VG. Several very light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with mild background noise of static and crackling at times but never overwhelming. Most apparent at the beginning of each side. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Gatefold Cover is in VG- condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams. The rear sleeve of gatefold has small splits in the middle of both the top and bottom seams that are taped. No others. Ring wear and small creases on both sides. Still super solid, looks good and protects vinyl well. Please see pics.
