Even if Bill Haley & The Comets could catch hit after hit since the release of 'Rock Around The Clock', the career of the early stars of Rock 'n' Roll only got its right boost through their participation in feature films. 'Blackboard Jungle' brought the breakthrough, followed by 'Rock Around The Clock' and finally 'Don't Knock The Rock'. From the soundtrack for this movie eight songs were chosen for this 10inch record, which was released both in Australia and New Zealand, and which we enhanced with two bonus tracks, 'Caldonia' (1959) and 'I'll Be With You In Apple Blossom Time' (1957).
