BLIND WILLIE JOHNSON - COLUMBIA 14490-D - “GOD DON’T NEVER CHANGE” + “LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE ON ME” - two of Blind Willie’s more subtle performances I would say. He sings most of the sides in a “normal” singing voice only transitioning to his trademark “growl” in the second half of “Let YourLight…”. The “God Don’t Ever Change” side ends with a pretty sweet 30 second slide solo. G some peaking but overall a very enjoyable copy.
