Cyril Lefebvre Cocaine Blues Weird French Folk LP Vinyl Rare 1977
From my personal collection. I am not the original owner, I purchased this used in the early 2000s. It was originally released in 1977 on the French record label, Fleau. I have never seen a copy since and all the copies up for sale through discogs ship from Europe, so I assume this is pretty rare. It's a weird record that floats somewhere between blues, folk and jazz. Among other songs and a lot of instrumentals, there's a Charlie Patton cover and then Cyril Lefebvre's own "cocaine blues" which is strange, almost nonsensical and catchy. The artwork is top-notch- that skeleton with the poison bottle!
This is an old record and one that I played often and it shows signs of wear. The cover has dents, scratches, ringwear, sticker residue. The top edge is heavily worn. There's a two-inch hole along the bottom edge. The flimsy inner plastic sleeve is very wrinkly. The vinyl itself has smudges and scratches, but plays great considering it's age, with just some surface noise.
I grade conservatively. I ship within 5 days. Stored in a smoke-free home but not a pet-free home. I have cats :) Thanks for looking!
