The Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland Rare 1969 Japanese 1st Press VG+.
For auction is a great listeners copy of Electric Ladyland, the third and final studio album by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Originally released in 1968 in the US and parts of Europe, this double album was the bands most successful. It hit #1 in the US and peaked at #6 in the UK. The record features the cover of Bob Dylan’s, “All Along The Watchtower”, which ended up being the bands best selling single. The album also includes the classics “Crosstown Traffic” and “Voodoo Child”. Considered one of the best records ever, Electric Ladyland, landed at #53 on Rolling Stone’s 2020 list of the “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”. This copy is a rare Japanese 1st press from 1969 with Polydor red labels.
Vinyl is play graded VG+. There is one very noticeable surface mark on side B of record 2 that is not deep. It is superficial and looks like it was from the manufacturer. It does not affect playback in anyway. Plays with no background noise, skips or jumps. Super clean and shiny and sounds amazing! Please see pics.
Gatefold cover is also in VG+ condition. Includes 4 page booklet that is intact and features album credits and band bio written in Japanese. In the center is the famous nude photo that was the cover of original UK and other international presses. It was banned in the US. Booklet also features song lyrics. There is minor wear on corners. The open edge also has a few dents. Title edge and seams are perfect . OBI missing. A beautiful copy. Please see pics.
Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!!
