The Allman Brothers Band Self-Titled Debut 1969 1st Press Atco VG-/G+.

For auction is a good listeners copy of the self-titled debut of American legendary rockers, The Allman Brothers Band. It was originally released in November 1969 by ATCO Records as part of the Capricorn Record Series. Although it did not perform well commercially, the album was critically acclaimed and now has been deemed a classic. It features the popular songs, “Dreams” and “Whipping Post”, that have become rock radio station staples as well as fan favorites. This copy is a 1st press, Presswell (PR) with yellow ATCO labels.

Vinyl is play graded VG-. Both labels have a couple of black marker scribbles. Vinyl has many very light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Plays with consistent mild background noise that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Textured gatefold cover is in G+ condition. Has seen better days. Obvious shelf wear on corners and seams. The front part of gatefold has tape on all three edges over peeling. Tape is also over title side. Title is partially legible and some letters have peeled off. The corners are all dented the title side two are the worst. The back seams have considerable wear. The top seam has an inch split from the title edge and a quarter inch one from open edge. The bottom seam also has a tiny split from open edge. Inside gatefold there is wear on corners and on both the top and bottom of fold crease. Four marker scribbles on right side. On front, the upper right side has peeling from probably a price sticker being removed. Ring wear, fading/scuffing on both sides. Still is pretty solid and protects vinyl. Please see pics.

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!
