In 2013, Rolling Stone named it the best debut album of all time and in 2020 it ranked #192 on the magazine’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Licensed To Ill re-entered the Billboard 200 and peaked at #18 in 2012, after the death of Adam Yauch (a.k.a. MCA). The album now has been certified diamond in the US with sales of 10 million copies. This copy is a 1st Carrollton Press.

Vinyl is play graded VG-. Many light visible surface marks but nothing deep that can be felt. Stain on Side 2 runout that does not affect playback. Label on same side has a tear from a sticker being removed. Plays with mild background noise at times that is never overwhelming. Most apparent at the beginning of each side. There is one small jump on Track 4 on Side 1 that can be easily missed. Plays through and there are no more issues. If not for this hiccup the record would be a solid VG. Please see pics.

Gatefold cover is in VG+ condition. There is minor shelf wear on seams but no splits. Corners have limited wear. There are a few tiny creases on the title of front. Original Def Jam inner sleeve is included but a generic white die-cut one is used to protect vinyl. Please see pics.
