A.K. SALIM Afro-Soul/Drum Orgy PRESTIGE PRLP 7379 (1965) Yusef Lateef 1st EX/VG+
Original 1965 issue of this percussion-heavy, free/spiritual jazz session, with “three exceptional horn players- Pat Patrick, Yusuf Lateef and Johnny Coles - give their impressions of the sound of Africa”. The LP is in immaculate condition. Van Gelder stamp is faint but visible on the dead wax (see photos).
This record has has been cleaned and play-graded. The record surfaces are rated as EX, with very quiet, glossy surfaces and no needle-sticks or loud, repetitive clicks. The record cover is in VG+ condition - the seams and spine are intact with very little wear. The front cover is clean and unmarked but there is a little rubbing and minor ring wear (see photos). The back cover is unmarked except for my stamp on the bottom (Sorry ). The trident Prestige labels both are clean and unmarked and have very little spindle wear.
This record is from my personal collection and I have decided it’s now time to start selling most of my records. I bought this LP in New condition around 40+ years ago and it has been carefully stored and occasionally played since.
