All my records that I am selling on here are from my personal privatecollection and majority have been stored in a cedar chest since 1985 that was handmadeby my granddad in the early 1930’s during the depression.

I have done aconsiderable amount of research on my collection and starting bids will varybased on several factors: Quality is a given but hype stickers, originalsleeves, cover/gatefold, poster artists, producers, label, autographed, signed,first press, mis-prints etc. and demand over the last three months.

***Look at all, there are some very rare finds!!!***

I am not an experton evaluating the condition of the LP. However, I am very objective and more conservativethan Discogs (and Goldmine), and rate accordingly with the following gradingscale:

M = Mint: Still sealed andassume vinyl is perfect from record company.

NM = Near Mint:

·     Cover:  LP cover should have no creases,folds, seam splits or similar defects.

·     Vinyl Surface: High-Gloss shine, as if opened for thefirst time. No writing or stickers on the vinyl.

·     Label: No writing or stickers and no fadingof the label.

·     Sound: The sound quality is like new as purchased.Note: This really depends on the quality of your turn table, stylus,needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (if you have one).

EX = Excellent: Not quite a GoldmineStandard Listing, but being used by many now whereas:

·     Cover: No ink wear, minor creases to corners,no seam tears.

·     Vinyl Surface: Same as Near Mint but can have verylight scratches, but not felt by your fingers, minimal back ground noise onplayback.

·     Label: No writing or stickers and no fadingof the label.

·     Sound: The sound quality is like new as purchased.Note: This really depends on the quality of your turn table, stylus,needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (if you have one).

VG+ = Very Good Plus: Like Near Mintexcept:

·     Cover: The cover might have light creasing orminor seam or corner wear or small amount writing, and minimal fading.

·     Vinyl Surface: Gloss shine with maybe only a couplelight surface scratches on the grooves, possible slight noise on playback, noskips.

·     Label: On the label, there may be a stickeror writing, but it shows very little wear.

·     Sound: The sound quality is almost like newas purchased – this really depends on the quality of your turn table, stylus,needle, amplifier, and equalizer. Note: This really depends on thequality of your turn table, stylus, needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (ifyou have one).

VG to VG -: Very Good to Very GoodMinus:

·     Cover: The cover may have obvious album ringwear, maybe some side seam splits, or little tears at the top or side where therecord goes back into.

·     Vinyl Surface: Same as VG+, maybe not quite asshinny and you will see scratches without putting it under a bright light.

·     Label: The label might have some fadingaround it, besides having stickers or writing.

·     Sound: The sound quality is still prettygood, maybe a little noise, but not enough to detract from the listeningexperience. Note: This really depends on the quality of your turn table,stylus, needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (if you have one).

G to G +: Good or Good Plus:

·     Cover: The cover might have moderatecreasing, seam or corner wear or small amount writing, and moderate fading; LPring wear is obvious on the cover and cover probably has seam splits.

·     Vinyl Surface: It plays though without skipping,but may have noise or fuzz sound because of age, quality, or worn-down grooves.

·     Label: Moderate fading and/or writing orstickers on the label.

·     Sound: The sound quality is still prettygood, maybe a little more noise, but not enough to detract from the listeningexperience. Note: This really depends on the quality of your turn table, stylus,needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (if you have one).

F = Fair

·     Cover: The cover will have moderatecreasing, seam or corner wear or small amount of writing, and moderate fading;LP ring wear is obvious on the cover and cover probably has seam splits.

·     Vinyl Surface: It plays though without skipping, butmay have noise or fuzz sound because of age, quality, or worn-down grooves. Albumis not warped but could have repeating issues with a deep scratch.

·     Label: Moderate fading and/or heavy writingor stickers on the label.

·     Sound: The sound quality is fair. Expectpossible noise issues or skipping. Note: This really depends on thequality of your turn table, stylus, needle, amplifier, equalizer, and board (ifyou have one). No albums in my collection are warped causing repeating issues

W = Worn:

·     Cover: The cover is approaching death and willhave significant creasing, seam or corner tear and significant fading. If apicture sleeve is with it, this is torn or marked up to a significant degree.But someone may want to have it for nostalgia or even attempt to fix it.

·     Vinyl Surface: May or may not still play without askip but could be repaired.

·     Label: Could have substantial fading, heavy writing,or stickers on the label.

·     Sound: Attempting to listen will be adisturbing experience. Expect major noise, skipping, or issues with repeating. Note:This will be worse if you have a quality turn table, stylus, needle, amplifier,equalizer, and board (if you have one).
