Grateful Dead Dead Set 2x LP 1984 Reissue Gatefold VG-/VG/VG-.

For auction, is a good to very good listeners copy of Dead Set by American rock legends, The Grateful Dead. A live double album released in August 1981, that is their seventh live record and eighteenth overall. Dead Set is a companion to the bands live album Reckoning, that was released in April, four months prior. Both albums feature songs recorded during concerts in September and October 1980 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, CA and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Featured are versions of some of their most beloved songs and concert staples such as “Samson and Delilah”, “Friend of the Devil”, “Franklin’s Tower”, “Fire On the Mountain” and “Greatest Story Ever Told “. The album peaked in the US at #29 on the Billboard 200. This copy is a 1984 reissue with black Arista labels.

Vinyl is play graded VG- to VG. Record 1 has a slight storage warp that does not affect playback. Side 1 has two feel-able marks on track 2. The first is purely superficial. During the second the record plays through but with obvious clicks. The rest of the disc plays with consistent mild background noise that is never overwhelming. No skips or jumps. VG-. Record 2 has a less noticeable storage warp which has no affect on playback. Has some extremely light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Gatefold cover is in VG- condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. However, both of the bottom corners of the pockets have tiny ones forming. Title is fully legible. Lower left corner on front is scuffed. Front has several creases of various sizes. The biggest is on the top left corner. Small creases and wear inside gatefold. Small creases along edges on both sides as well as ring wear. Super solid. Please see pics.
