Rush Self-Titled Debut 1981 Reissue Skyscraper Labels VG+/VG-.

For auction is a great listeners copy of the self-titled debut of the Canadian hard rock band, Rush. Originally released in March 1974 only in Canada on the bands own label, Moon Records. It was then released internationally later the same year on Mercury Records. The album features the line-up of trio, Geddy Lee on vocals and bass, Alex Lifeson on guitar and John Rutsey on drums. Rutsey left the band shortly after the albums release because of health issues and was replaced by Neil Peart which completed what became know as the bands classic line-up. The records sound is different from their later and more popular work and is obviously influenced by other popular bands of the time such as Les Zeppelin. The album received mainly positive reviews but had only minimal commercial success. It peaked at #105 on the Billboard 200 and the single, “In the Mood” just cracked the chart by reaching #88 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other now classic tracks are, “Finding My Way” and “Working Man”. Rush has been certified gold in the US with sales of 500,000 copies. This copy is a 1981 reissue from Hauppauge Press with Mercury skyscraper labels.

Vinyl is play graded VG+. Some extremely light visible surface marks but nothing deep. Plays with faint background noise at times that is far from overwhelming.

No skips or jumps. Please see pics.

Cover is in VG- condition. Shelf wear on corners and seams. There is a 2 inch split on top half of title seam that is taped. Title is still legible. Both the top and bottom seam have tiny splits beginning to form from open edge.

On front top left side there is a sticker. Ring wear, minor scuffing and stain on front and back. Still solid!! Please see pics.

Good luck bidding and thank you for looking!!
