“The Teenagers Go Romantic featuring Frankie Lymon” Gee Records 7 inch extended play 45 RPM - 1958
Label owner George Goldner collected four of the group’s finest 1956-57 ballads, “Share”, “Paper Castles”, “Am I Fooling Myself Again” and “I’m Not A Know-It-All” for this EP which was issued in a cardboard cover with beautiful color photo.
This copy is graded in EXCELLENT condition for BOTH the vinyl and the cover. It comes from the collection of a longtime Massachusetts R&B vocal group collector who recently passed. It is one of the finest examples I have seen in years.
The disc has plenty of shine and has no significant scratches or scuffs. It has been stored for years in a separate paper sleeve and was recently cleaned in an ultrasonic record cleaner.
The cover is impressive - no tears, rips, or splits, and all of the seams are intact. The cardboard is stiff with no creases. There is a small discoloration or stain at the top right corner seam (see photo- possibly old glue?). You would be hard-pressed to find a copy in better shape after 65 years!
