This is a very rare Polish import postcard flexidisc single of The Spy by The Doors.

These postcards were pressed in limited numbers in Poland in the 1970s. In the communist era, it was hard to get hold of western music legally, so these postcards were produced illicitly and distributed through a small, private network. This would probably be the audience's only opportunity to listen to the Doors!

It measures 14cm by 10cm and the grooves are pressed onto the top of a picture of a scene in Krakow. There is a spindle hole in the middle of the postcard.

The other side of the postcard has the usual info you'd expect on a postcard, explaining the photo in Polish and giving postage details and manufacturers info.

The sound quality is terrible, so this is nothing more than a great historical artefact. Please don't expect a hi-fi experience! It is in all in very good condition, but the technology used to produce these was poor and the sound quality reflects this - it is not an issue with wear.

Apart from the sound quality, the postcard is in great shape.

I use the Record Collector grading system which grades records from Mint to Poor. I aim to grade conservatively and fairly - check my feedback which reflects this. However, I recognise that grading can be subjective and one man's EX can be another man's Good, so please contact me if you would like to clarify any issues with condition.

I try to keep my postage prices as low as possible, but please take note that Ebay take a 13% cut of the postage you pay, so I only get 87% of the costs you pay - and this has to pay for good quality packaging too!
