Viva Lavida (as it is usually referred to in its abbreviated form) is Coldplay’s fourth studio album, originally released on June 12, 2008 on Parlophone Records (Capitol in the U.S.). A total critical and commercial success, the album went to number one in both England and the States, has sold over 10 million copies, and was the best-selling album of 2008. The single “Viva Lavida” has been streamed over one billion times on Spotify. It was also the Grammy winner for Best Rock Album in 2009.
