Named after the Woody Guthrie song, “Mermaid’s Avenue,” this collaboration of
Billy Bragg and Wilco stems from the two entities writing songs to a number of
Guthrie lyrics which had not been set to music.
The album was originally released on June 23, 1998 on Elektra. This is a SEALED promotional copy (note marker strike through bar code, pictured) of the 2013 reissue on
Nonesuch Records, pressed on 180g vinyl.
