"Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum has returned to the scene in a big way in 2010 with his 'Many Faces' EP for Lucky Me and the brilliant Sepalcure 12" for Hotflush. But, if you're going to judge a record by its cover, this is surely one of the best releases ever, coming housed in a holographic gatefold sleeve which hasn't ceased to amaze us since it landed. Well, OK, so maybe it isn't the best album ever, but it's a damn fine effort nonetheless, spanning the breadth of his up-to-date oeuvre from Nu-Disco to HipHop, R&B and various other club stuffs all executed with an impeccable finish drawing distinctions to Sa-Ra or the Neptunes. The inclusion of some 10 MCs over twenty one track places this firmly in the field of HipHop/R&B but his trademark electronic craft still features prominently, just tightened up into a a widely digestible pop format of sorts. To be totally fair, some of you should be buying this for the sleeve alone, but the ultra-modern R&B fiends should also be attracted to the bling of his production, not just the sleeve."
