Cowboy" Slim Dortch (Born 12 April 1921 in Henry County, Tennessee, as Henry Pierce Dortch; † 11 February 2000 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri) was an and musician. While Dortch had a long career, he now days is advised and known only by two singles with Eugenia records into oblivion. 1964 Dortch reappeared in Memphis, Tennessee, where he recorded two singles for the small Eugenia label. The first album was published in 1964 with the rockabilly song Big Boy Rock on the A-side and mailing my last letter on the B side. In June of the same year a more Rockabilly with/sixteen miles / the black rose, which he recorded as "Cowboy" Slim Dortch followed. These are Dortchs only known shots. Better known to friends and relatives as "Slim" or "Cowboy Slim Dortch". He was a musician and appeared on many radio stations across the United States in the 1940's and 50's. He loved playing guitar and singing, and wherever he went you could be sure his guitar was in the car with him.
