Record: "Art" Art Farmer, Argo LP-678, 1960. Rare original 1960 Argo LP. The album is the fullest and most complete evocation of Art Farmer as a soloist. The portrait of Art Farmer is by Ernest Fiene, his work is in the Metro. Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, Boston Museum of Fine Arts and the Art Instit. of Chicago. Visual Grading: "Art,” by Art Farmer RECORD: VG+/Near Mint: This record is in very good +/near mint condition. Record shows original luster with no scratches on either side. Plays through with no surface noise and no skips. COVER: VG+: The cover is in very good++ condition. Cover no shows signs of shelf or ring wear. No Spine/Seam splits. Very small wear on top of spine. A small "pin hole" on the bottum left. Standard Grading Scale: NEAR MINT or NM, M: this record appears virtually flawless. Minor scuffs which are only slightly visible. There may be more than a few scuffs or a light hairline scratch that cannot be felt. The cover looks as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable; however the artwork is as close to perfect as can be. VERY GOOD+: Minor scuffs are visible usually the result of a paper inner sleeve. There may be a light hairline scratch VG+ COVER: Cover shows normal shelf and ring wear for a well-cared for record of its vintage. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs can make this grade. VERY GOOD Record shows wear, surface scuffs. The vinyl still has a great luster, but the flaws will be noticeable to the naked eye. There may be a few inconsequential scratches. VERY GOOD COVERS: A virtually clean cover, but may have small writing on it. The artwork looks clean with slightly more aging. The back of the cover usually gives away the age of the cover. Flat white paper will be somewhat yellow. Some minor wear to the seams or spine, and minor splits at opening of pocket or in the center of the bottom seam. The corners will be slightly dog eared yet no crackly bends, defacing the artwork. GOOD: This is my lowest grade and is only reserved for very rare records that are still worth having at this grade. A good record will look very well played, dull, grayish and possibly abused. There will be numerous scuffs and some deep scratches visible. A Good record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise and needle jumps. A good cover will have just about everything wrong with it. It will have seam splits possibly taped repaired. Shipping Policy: Paid by Buyer.
