Gong

Flying Teapot (Radio Gnome Invisible Part 1) LP

Virgin UK 1973

V2002

Vinyl Condition VG+

Sleeve Condition G+

A lovely copy of this 1973 release by Gong, the first of the Radio Gnome Trilogy that they become best known for.  The gatefold sleeve has been graded G+ which is probably a bit harsh but there is a spine split at the top which is around 2 inches long.  Otherwise the artwork both externally and internally is Excellent, with very little scuffing.

The vinyl is housed in a white paper sleeve and has been graded VG+.  The labels are extremely bright and have no marks or scratches.  There are light spindle marks on Side A whilst Side B has very little evidence of being played.  The matrices indicate this is a first pressing (A-1U, B-1U).  Side A has a slight scuff on track 1 but this does not affect the audio at all.  A very nice copy.

Who We Are

We are BA1 Records, a collective of passionate music lovers with an eye for spotting great vinyl.  We source our vinyl from a diverse range of places - we’ve bought private collections, sourced from car boot sales and  snapped up some fantastic items in charity shops.  We set up our store after being frustrated with the quality of some of the records we had previously bought on eBay.  As a result we are ultra-strict about the grading of our records and want you to be 100% satisfied that the record you buy doesn’t disappoint in any way.

Postage & Packaging

We are extremely careful when packing your vinyl.  All of our records are removed from their sleeves and placed in a plastic outer.  We ship with rigid stiffeners for added protection.

All prices are inclusive of postage and packaging.

We ship items under £20 by Royal Mail 2nd Class.

All items over £20 are shipped by Royal Mail Signed For 2nd Class.

Record Grading

We use the Record Collectors Grading System as defined by Record Collector Magazine.  We also introduce + and - where appropriate.  All items are graded visually under strong direct light.  Your complete 100% satisfaction is of huge importance to us and we therefore give us much detail as we can in our descriptions and pictures.

Mint

We do not use this grade unless the record is completely unplayed and the sleeve is in perfect condition

Excellent

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The sleeve may have slight wear/creasing.

Very Good

The record has obviously been played many times, but it displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover is acceptable.

Good

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has detoriated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.  The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits.
