PICTURE DISCS

Picture discs are supplied with a clear PVC cover even if they did not come with one. Where necessary they are separated from their PVC cover when being shipped to avoid the disc splitting the cover.

The sound quality of picture discs is usually not to the standard of normal vinyl and this particularly applies to early 12"/LP discs (c.1978 to early 80s).

5" discs (actually they can vary from 5" to 6"-127 mm - 152 mm) are of inferior sound quality. The grooves are too compressed and the vinyl covering thin. They should not be purchased for their playing quality which is usually VG at best.

They were made to neaten the figure shapes and the sound quality control was disregarded at the factory.

POSTAGE and PACKAGING MATTERS NEW RATES from April 2014

We try to keep shipping costs to a minimum without compromising the integrity of the package.

Unfortunately the UK PO have made more huge increases in some postal rates though they have increased weight bands so there are some benefits.

Basic postage overseas has increased by a small amount but the fee for increased compensation has decreased

They have also reduced the compensation paid out for uninsured packets.

A small packaging charge is included.

Discs are separated from their outer covers and inner sleeve and a neutral inner sleeve is used.

Bubblewrap is used as extra protection.

The object of the exercise is to get your goods safely to you at a reasonable cost.

Extra packaging, or special packaging arrangements outside of our normal standard must be notified before invoicing.

Any special customs requirements should be advised as soon as possible.
