Pink Floyd: Endless River 2 LP Set 180 Gram
Product Description:
FACTORY SEALED Ships Double Boxed 2 LP Set 180 Gram Audiophile Pressing First New Studio Album since 1994 Note: This is a heavy LP. We don't recommend buying this shipped in a mailer!
Pink Floyd's new album The Endless River has as its starting point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions, when David Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason played freely together at Britannia Row and Astoria studios. This was the first time they had done so since the Wish You Were Here sessions in the seventies. Those sessions resulted in The Division Bell, the band's last studio album. In 2013 David Gilmour and Nick Mason revisited the music from those sessions and decided that the tracks should be made available as part of the Pink Floyd
repertoire. It would be the last time the three of them would be heard
together. The band have spent the last year recording and upgrading the
music, using the advantages of modern studio technology to create The Endless River.
The Endless River is a tribute to Rick Wright, whose keyboards are at the heart of the Pink Floyd
sound. It is a mainly instrumental album with one song, "Louder Than
Words," (with new lyrics by Polly Samson), arranged across four sides
and produced by David Gilmour, Phil Manzanera, Youth and Andy Jackson.
The concept for the powerful imagery of a man rowing on a "river" of
clouds was created by Ahmed Emad Eldin, an 18-year-old Egyptian digital
artist. Ahmed's image was then re-created by Stylorouge, award-winning
UK design agency. Pink Floyd's album artwork, mostly
created by Storm Thorgerson of Hipgnosis, is as legendary as the band's
music. With Storm's passing in 2013, the task of finding an image that
carried on Storm's legacy passed to Aubrey 'Po' Powell, Storm's original partner in Hipgnosis.
David Gilmour: "The Endless River has as its starting
point the music that came from the 1993 Division Bell sessions. We
listened to over 20 hours of the three of us playing together and
selected the music we wanted to work on for the new album. Over the last
year we've added new parts, re-recorded others and generally harnessed
studio technology to make a 21st century Pink Floyd album. With Rick
gone, and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right
that these revisited and reworked tracks should be made available as
part of our repertoire."
Nick Mason: "The Endless River is a tribute to Rick.
I think this record is a good way of recognizing a lot of what he does
and how his playing was at the heart of the Pink Floyd sound. Listening
back to the sessions, it really brought home to me what a special
player he was."

We Care About What We Ship!HASSLE FREE SERVICE FROM THE VINYL SOURCE YOU CAN TRUST!
All our vinyl titles are brand new, pristine,
factory sealed (not just *sealed* which could be done out back with a sealing machine), stored in a climate controlled environment, and are inspected for any visible jacket damage by two different people before being
double boxed and shipped. In addition to other protections, our packaging includes a layer of bubble insulation under the inner box to help protect the LP from the environment. Our packaging isn't bullet proof, but it's a whole lot better than the way other companies ship vinyl.
All our vinyl titles are
premium pressings sold
for store sale and are never post-spec *seconds* sold to some mass merchants for internet sales to meet a price point. (These can be "special" pressings on recycled non-virgin vinyl done late in the life of a stamper past it's prime and rated number of stampings and are similar to the "Record Club" pressings some years ago. We hoped this baloney was over with. )
US Recording never sells any product that's been handled by the public, as you will get from some media chains selling vinyl online from their various locations. US Recording is warehouse distribution only.
We show our own photos, both front and back of actual copies of what you will be shipped, so there should be no question what you will be getting, stickers and all. Note: These photos may not reflect the exact version some other retailers are shipping, however, so be careful when shopping, especially if they only show you a stock photo of company artwork. (There can be different versions and qualities even with the same UPC Code.)
US Recording uses Ebay "Hassle Free Returns" for still sealed items. If your vinyl is still factory and USR sealed (we add another layer of protection) and undamaged, return it per EBAY instructions
within our return timeframe, in the same boxes and packing you got it in for safe shipping. Please do not use other retailer's "mailers" to return our product as we value even defective product more than that. Note: No returns accepted on unsealed titles unless it is defective per our definition of defective per Ebay policies unless it has a pressing defect.
We guarantee all vinyl you buy from us will play. Yes, we are a little more strict about returns but we do NOT reseal returns and sell them as new like other retailers (even some massive ones.) If your vinyl turns out to have a
pressing defect, contact us through the Ebay message system (please do not open a case for a return! ) for a return authorization. We will refund your money upon receipt back of the defective copy, all shrink wrap and bags and free items, in the original shipping boxes we used to ship it to you, and within the time frame of our return policy. NOTE:: A pressing defect is only defined as any defect in the surface of the vinyl rendering it unable to play (it skips) such as a piece of label pressed into the grooves or a warp. We do not warrant any
surface noise, downloads, free items, user damage, quality of the pressing, and
anything to do with the jacket or sleeve. (Side note: Someone actually wanted to return a $450 box set because a word was misspelled on a liner note...)
US RECORDING cannot do replacements or swap out titles. If you are returning a defective item or returning something still USR and Factory sealed, you will get a refund. You pay shipping.
ALWAYS wet clean all new LPs before their first use to remove record sleeve dust and other particles from manufacturing. We recommend
Lasermedia VNC-4 Vinyl Record Cleaner because it does the job well without harmful solvents.
Disclaimer: The product images shown are US Recording Media photos of a copy of the item for sale, but are not actual photos of the
actual individual item you will be sent. If the stickers on the title are an issue to you, please contact us before ordering to make sure you get exactly what you're looking for! PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW THE PHOTOS BEFORE MAKING A DECISION TO BUY TO ENSURE IT'S THE VERSION YOU WANT.
