An excellent example of the very rare original UK edition of Bells, Boots and Shambles by Spirogyra.
If you are bidding for this you will know what it is, but have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTtN5pO2iYw to hear what it sounds like.
I bought it new in 1973 and have kept it in good condition with minimal playing since then (I copied it onto cassette for regular play).
I've had it assessed by an experienced vinyl shop who said the vinyl is in excellent condition with some very minor scuffs from being put into and out of the sleeve.
It plays with little surface noise. There is a little crackle at the beginning of each side and only a few clicks/pops, there is no skipping.
Playing has only been done on a good quality turntable with a light pick-up weight. It is the "PORKY" pressing with "LET THE BRAIN TAKE THE STRAIN" on the other side.
The sleeve is in very good condition but with some minor scuffs shown in the photos and a mark where the price label was removed and the damage touched up (why did they have to use that kind of adhesive!). The spine is still readable.
Because of the value of this record I will pack it in a new heavy duty mailing sleeve and send it tracked and insured, which will cost about £15.
I'm also selling an excellent copy of Old Boot Wine - see my other listings.
