Primordial have always been a unique band. I can remember when I started listening to extreme metal and I heard the term "Irish Black Metal" So I natural had to check these guys out. What I heard I had never heard before. Not black metal vocals but rather a clean folkish croon. Black metal guitars for sure but slower, more complex and epic. Celtic tinged melodies and pounding drums round out Primordial's overall sound. In a genre where it can be difficult to carve out your own niche Primordial have done that in a really big way. Here we have their latest album Where Greater Men Have Fallen and if you haven't heard these guys you simply must have an album in your collection. Comes with a very nice poster as well!
