For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

Catalogue no. CSD 3791 - HMV Records Many of the original pressings of Morrissey albums on vinyl have now become extremely rare and highly sought-after by collectors, having been pressed in comparatively low numbers in relation to the more popular CD album format at the time. Collectors buying up such original copies, wishing to hear the albums in their original intended state, have served to create a scarcity of these LPs on the market in recent times. 'Beethoven Was Deaf' is a live album which was released in 1993, with many of the tracks being recorded in Paris in December 1992 but apparently, contrary to the sleeve notes, some of these were actually recorded in London. The LP is from the first and only pressing run with matrix numbers "A-01-01-1 / B-01-01-1" and is beautifully packaged in a gatefold sleeve, with terrific sleeve artwork which opens to reveal a bright green image of Morrissey live on stage. This auction offers a terrific opportunity to get hold of an example of this rare record which has been extraordinarily well preserved in an almost-new state (see below) and it is noted that this copy was not sold discounted and is therefore not 'clipped' or hole-punched in any way as is often found with examples of this record.

The record and labels are in near mint condition, having barely been played and having no discernable surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl. The impressive labels are clean and unspoilt in appearance, with no writing or other marks. The original inner black poly-lined sleeve is present and intact, and the superb gatefold outer sleeve is, remarkably, also in tremendous near mint condition. There are no creases or signs of seam-splitting or other wear. All edges are sharp, and there is barely even any 'corner wear' to speak of. No 'ringwear' is apparent, and there is no writing and no signs of other marks anywhere. It would be very difficult to find a better copy of this rare and sought-after LP.
