Truly amazing studio and live album by American blues icon Chuck Berry. Not much more can be said about Chuck, his influence on modern rock and pop is indisputably immense.
Side one consists of studio recordings, while side two features three live performances recorded at the Lanchester Arts Festival in England. At the end of the concert, you can hear the audience chanting "We Want Chuck" while the managements is desperately trying to get them to stop so Pink Floyd can take the stage.
The record also includes the song "My Ding-a-Ling" in which Chuck gets the whole crowd to sing along in a hilarious fashion. The energy of the performance and the crowd is really felt on this record, and you can get a good sense of Chuck's charisma and showmanship.
