Quiet Sun biography QUIET SUN was first formed in 72 but later disbanded as various members evolved into other groups. As a side project to ROXY MUSIC, guitarist Phil Manzanera teamed up with Bill Mc Cormick (of MATCHING MOLE fame), Dave Jarrett and Charles Hayward ( ex-HIGH TIDE and future GONG, and future "touche-à-tout" in the early 90's) reformed QUIET SUN and made this sole album called Mainstream that defides any classifications/categorizations. With the help of Brian Eno, this album is full of superb interplay with long tracks every member writing two tracks except for Mc Cormick only one. Later on, Manzanera and McCormick will form the 801 group that will also release two albums.

Recommended to progheads liking UFO's from the 70's. This is almost one of those lost gems except that it was never lost.

Like new. The vinyl retains its original gloss, and the jacket is clean with no wear nor marks on the label.

          EX              EXCELLENT

May have a few scuffs or very light scratches which do not affect its playability. May have some minor rubs on the label or spindle. May have some writing on the label which will be noted. May have some slight wear on the jacket but no splits! This is the desirable grade for most collectors.

VERY GOOD+

The vinyl and cover has light general wear including scratches (may be audible), small splits on the jacket, and some label wear (including writing).

Non-playable!!! Sold for the jacket only, or sold as a "rare" filler copy.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT WHEN VINYL WAS THE STANDARD, 20 TO 30% OF ALBUMS CAME OUT OF THE SHRINK WRAP AS BAD PRESSINGS WITH SURFACE NOISE. OBVIOUSLY, SUCH BAD PRESSINGS WOULD NOT BE IDENTIFIABLE THROUGH VISUAL EXAMINATION, NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL
