Mint- new looking with only the faint sign of wear in spine, NO wear on cover it
NM    new looking no ring wear some spine wear, NO cuts, holes or bends
EX+   mint cover with a cut-out hole somewhere, or a bend somewhere, or a split in seam somewhere
EX     Minty new looking with a touch of wear on top or bottom
EX-   touch of wear showing around the cover with luster or a cut-out of some kind
VG+  some luster with light ring wear and some minor spine wear
VG    some luster with full ring wear with some spine wear

GRADE GUIDE LP:
Mint  deep gloss NO visible marks on wax or near spindle hole
Mint- high gloss with a faint mar or 2 seen in bright light only
NM   high gloss with a few paper mars seen in bright light only
EX+  minty new looking with one light mark or scuff that is small that keeps it from Mint- 
EX    high gloss with a couple light marks and some paper mars seen in bright light
