Just one of the great 80s labels emerging from the DC area was SIMPLE MACHINES...fond of multi-artist EPS, this early one, PULLEY (SM #3) featured NATION OF ULYSSES with Jamie Canty, brother of Brendon from Fugazi, and like his brother, a former employee of Yesterday & Today Records. Their track is DIPTHERIA. Rest of the EP consists of THE MOMMYHEADS with AT THE MALL, MY NEW BOYFRIEND with THURSTON DANCE, and BRICKS with SPY KITTY. This is a limited reissue on RED vinyl, with poster featuring info and pictures on each of the groups, not all DC as Simple Machines was dedicated to enriching the indie exposure coast to coast and indeed world-wide ... in BOX 8244/8229 under PULLEY*****THIS IS A 7" VINYL EP RECORD!! *****
