My clearout continues!
I'm now clearing our a batch of classic rock, prog and 60's LPs that I bought in a collection a few years back, a pretty complete collection but I don't really need all the titles. Watch this space for more titles.......
you're bidding for:
Beatles - Please Please Me Gold label Mono LP VG/VG Dick James First Press 1N/1N
cat: PMC 1202 matrix: XEX 422-1N XEX 421-1N stampers: 1 A 1 M
The vinyl has lots of surface marks and scuffs but nothing really heavy or feelable, but a couple that look like they'd cause clicks or possibly jumps. However when playing the quality of the press on these LPs means they're really resilient. For the vast majority of the LP there's only a light crackle which doesn't overpower the music and is only really noticeable in the quieter sections. The LP has lost some of its original gloss but isn't however completely dulled. Sadly there is one skip on track but the the LP doesn't stick, it plays through to the end as it skips forward. Overall the listening grade would be VG too.
Both Black and Gold labels are VG+ with no marks or writing but light wear around the spindle hole (see pics) as I'm sure it's been well played and very much enjoyed. Also on the label is the raised tax code of ZMT and there's no writing on either label.
The sleeve grades VG also, it's still fully intact but has corner rubs, moderate ring wear and creases to the edges, dirt has worked it's way into such creases on the laminate so there's dark marks particularly visible on the front top edge (see pics) Overall it's a little grubby but far batter than a lot of first press sleeves, there's no writing on the sleeve and the P of photo is just to the right of the S in songs confirming it to be a first press. The original Emitex lined inner is in great VG+ condition, fully intact with just light creases.
