My father was a member of the Stan Kenton Jazz Orchestra from 1955 to 1968. He recently passed away and upon taking care of all his affairs I discovered hundreds of albums in a closet at his home that he recorded with the band. I’m not sure why he had so many because these were not the albums he regularly played. These albums are still sealed from the factory and haven’t seen the light of day since he got them after they were originally pressed and given to band members. They are in new condition. The closet they were stored in was never subjected to heat or sunlight or smoke. It was used to store his records, photos and holiday decorations. I know this because I was never allowed in this closet as a kid.

I can only offer photos of the front and back but if you’d like more please don’t hesitate to ask. I will not break the seal to photograph the sleeve or record.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I don’t know very much about the history of these albums since they were recorded before my time but I will do the best I can to answer any questions you may have.

I’ll be posting different albums soon. If there are ones you are specifically looking for please ask, I’ll see what is available.
