THE
BEATLES
The White Album
Rare MONO 1st Press, Complete with Poster, Photos and
Black Inners!
Comes complete with it's original black inners, poster and four photos!
This was the last original Beatles' album to have a full mono mix (Yellow Submarine was just a stereo fold-down into mono). Subsequantly most of the tracks have both subtle and blatant differences to their stereo counterparts. A website that details some of these differences can be found . Beatle completists love the mono white album because of these differences, and as the mono pressing sold so poorly back in 1968 demand for them today is extremely high!
By 1968 mono was pretty much a dead format. Stereo records were now the same price as their mono counterparts and the price of stereo record players drastically dropped, meaning that everybody bought stereo and left the mono copies on the shelf. Mono sales dropped so much that by 1969 it was discontinued completely as a format across all labels. Because of this, stereo copies of this album far outsold the mono copies and made the mono copies very hard to find today!
Please check out large, detailed photos of this record at the bottom of this listing.

The sleeve is holding with some light wear and tear and some creasing in the laminate. Cover has creamed slightly but, overall, is still holding up okay. Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeves are in G+ condition. The original, sugar paper black inner sleeves are included. They have your light, general wear and tear and some slight splitting starting in a couple of the seams, but generally holding okay. Inserts Condition The poster is in FAIR condition. The poster is included and complete, but has faded and has some light staining, and there is cellotape on some of the seams where a previous owner has crudely repaired old tears. The photos are in VG+ condition. The photos are looking good but a couple have a few creases and the backs have browned slightly, but overall they're fine. Someone has attempted to 'sign' the photos in blue pen as you can see in the photos below - the Ringo one is pretty close but the others are way off.
Disc ConditionDisc 2 is in VG- condition. Again, nice shine, but a fair amount of light scuffing all over along with some slightly heavier looking marks. Nothing nasty looking. At a certain angle it looks like the playing surface has a sort of light shimmering reflection - no idea if this is a manufacturing quirk or not, but thought it was worth mentioning.
Label Condition The labels are in EX- condition. All four labels are clean with no writing, stickers etc. All have a nice, rich colour with a fair amount of light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centreholes.
All records have been visually graded
under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
Records are posted out tracked and insured (where applicable) to comply with eBay and PayPal seller protection policy.
The P+P costs given on each

All LPs will be mailed out
in a strong, corrugated cardboard LP mailing box with the LP
outside the sleeve and extra
sheets of corrugated cardboard will be used where applicable.
My Regarding Vinyl Grading:
MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
