Prestige New Jazz 8227, “Ray Bryant Trio: Piano, Piano, Piano” from 1959 or 1960. The original New-Jazz DG vinyl plays essentially at NM, but there is a pressing bubble on both sides that causes several revolutions of ‘thumps’; the music plays right through, and there are no skips or jumps. This is unfortunately a problem with many NJ pressings. The heavy laminated jacket is about VG+ with generally solid seams, but with 2 cm of paper loss on the upper and lower spine. There is some corner wear, and the jacket back shows age toning; there is no writing or stamps. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra. Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket. More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
