Elizabeth Schwarzkopf - Sings Operetta
Otto Ackermann/ The Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus
(Columbia SAX 2283 UK LP 1959)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a gold "Stereophonic" circular sticker on the front. It comes with its original polythene lined company (EMI) inner sleeve. It also comes with a translation booklet.
The record has "blue and silver" Columbia labels which are grooved also. It has 1st press YAX 89-5 and YAX 90-2 matrix numbers. I have some other rare UK Stereo Classical LP's for sale too.
Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear at the corner tips. There is some mild to more moderate fading to the rear. There are a couple of small rub marks to the top edge. VG+ condition. The booklet is in VG++ condition. It is totally complete, with no loose pages, and shows only light to mild wear.
Vinyl: Light to mild sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. VG+ condition. The labels are in excellent condition and show light spindle wear only. Plays VG+ overall and Near Excellent in some areas. There is some light or very mild crackle in some of the quieter passages. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light wear but no seam splits.Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
