Stinson SLP-7, “Chain Gang”, Volumes I and II, from the late 1950s.  The artists include Woody Guthrie, Sonny Terry, and Alec Stewart (aka Alec Seward).  The original red-label black vinyl, in the original plastic baggie sleeve, shows no marks and plays at NM, remarkable for a low-fidelity label like Stinson.  The jacket is also in remarkably good shape.  The seams are all solid with some light wear along the bottom; corners are square; there is a bit of ringwear that is easily ignored; there are no bends or stamps and just two initials (possibly a pricing code?) on the front at upper right.  Full lyrics sheets are included and in good shape.  Songs include “Chain Gang Blues”< “Cornbread, Meat, and Molasses”, “Stackolee”, “Long John”, “Rock Me Mamma”, “Chain Gang Special”, “Red River”, “Ham and Eggs”, “Betty and Dupree”, “Pick a Bale of Cotton”, “It Takes a Chain Gang Man”, and “Lost John”.  Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $20.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire.  Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra.  Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way.  This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides.  It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket.  More than two LPs may be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.  All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
