This is a rare country vinyl by the one and only Hank Williams entitled " Luke The Drifter " MGM (E3927). This is the 1961 MGM Records re-issue in MONO format. This amazing LP album features twelve (12) tracks in all. The album is best summed up from the following excerpt from this album's liner notes by Charlie Lamb:
" Luke the Drifter is a portion of the Hank Williams' immortality. You see Luke the Drifter is not a disguise of Hank Williams the star...Luke the Drifter is the spirit of Hanks Williams the Man ".
CONDITION of VINYL: This shiny vinyl shows only limited signs of past use. A complete test play produced excellent MONO playback. We rate the condition of the vinyl conservatively as Very Good Plus (VG+) under Goldmine standards. It comes with the generic inner sleeve that has been with the LP.
CONDITION of JACKET: The outer jacket has a 6 inch split on upper seam starting where record is inserted. The side seam (spine) has softened corners at both ends and a 1/2 inch chip-out on upper edge on catalog number. Ther is a softened corner and 1/2 inch seam split begining at bottom right where record is inserted, The cover with great artwork by Charlie Henfeld is in quite good shape and worthy of being a candidate to frame if one is so inclined, The back cover is fully legible with no added writings (see photos). Due to primarily the seam damage we can only rate the condition as Very Good Minus (VG-). A new poly slip-on outer sleeve is included to help preserve this 57 year-old LP album for years to come.
The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
