This is a vintage 1976 vinyl compilation LP album entitled " Marilyn Monroe " released on the LEGENDS label (!000/1). The gatefold jacket's cover features a close-up color portrait of Marilyn Monroe (with no written information). The inside gatefold opens with twenty (20) separate black & white small photos of Marilyn from different films or events in her life tahat relate to the tracks of the LP. The back cover features twenty (20) small color photos of Marilyn that were taken from 1946 to 1962.
This rare LP album may appeal to fans of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia as well as vinyl LP collectors.  Other copies of this titled LP viewed on the internet reflect an image of Marilyn on the vinyl labels. This white label vinyl has NO photo on either side but merely states LEGENDS at the top the catalog # (1000 1), the Side (A or B) and MARILYN MONROE at the bottom. No indication on the jacket or label as to whether this label version (without a photo on label) was intended as a PROMO version. According to the back cover "For the first time....Marilyn Monroe sings 9 listed songs plus others and that 23 seledtions are in their first LP release".
CONDITION of VINYL: The very shiny vinyl quire clean and devoid of scratches and scuffs and is somewhat flexible (versus rigid) and seems to have a slight warp from a visual standpoint that did not effect the smooth playback we experienced after fully have test playing it through both sides (No skips,pops or crackles). It is noted that the music and verbiage (spoke word) are primarily, if not exclusively, soundbites from many performances by Marilyn over the years. We rate this vinyl's condition as Very Good Plus (VG+). The original generic inner sleeve is included.
CONDITION of JACKET:  This outer gatefold jacket is in excellent overall condition. The gorgeous color photo cover will be a splendid cover to frame if one is so inclined. The inner gatefold is very clean and original without added writings. The center seam is intact without splits. The back cover is also in great shape with the 20 color photos. The jacket seams show a hint of wear from past storage and some very light corner softening plus a bent loer riight corner and 1/4" split on back cover corner where record is inserted. Included is a new poly-slip on outer sleeve to help protect this 42 year old LP album for future generations to enjoy. We rate the jacket condition as Excellent (EX).

The vinyl within the inner sleeve will be separated from outer jacket. A heavy duty LP record mailer will be used with inserts and ample bubble wrap. Never a packing charge.
