My dad was a manager of a Goodyear Tire & Rubber store in Bellflower, California the 1960s. The company sent their managers cartons of their holiday records to sell in-store. They were sold directly from the carton, without cellophane wrapping. At the end of the holiday season the year that these were available, dad had several cartons of these records left unsold. So he brought them home, storing them in his garage, where they remained until found after his death. They are new old-stock—never played. They even have the original envelope from the Goodyear Record Department that was enclosed with the records to use to order more.
I starting selling them three years ago, and now, THESE ARE THE LAST ONES (4) I HAVE LEFT.
NOTE: These albums are new old stock and have never been played or, in most cases, even been taken out of their record covers (except when I sell them--I take the records out to keep the covers intact), so the vinyl records are considered to be in mint condition. However, none of these records, which were sold in-store right out of the carton, were sealed. Therefore, none of the covers of the albums that I have are in absolutely pristine condition because of their age, the effects of being in contact with the cardboard carton and the cardboard covers of other albums for so long and from being moved while in the carton from one place to another over the decades. The album covers all have some slight edge wear, cover wear or might have a little chipping or discoloration on the front or back. Because of this, I am not calling the record covers mint, but rather near mint. Also, the paper inner sleeves have all browned because of being in contact with the cardboard of the album covers for over 50 years. The reorder envelopes’ show a lightened area where they touched the now-browned paper sleeves for all those years.
PAYMENT
I accept PayPal only for payment. Once payment is received, I usually ship within 24 hours.
SHIPPING
For shipping, to ensure your record arrives safely, I will remove it from the inner sleeve and wrap it in a temporary sleeve. This is to protect the album cover and inner sleeve from tears and rips by the record, and to keep the vinyl itself protected from damage. Then I will place the album in a sturdy cardboard carton made specifically for albums, ensuring that the contents don't move around inside the carton by adding a cardboard liner and perhaps some bubble wrap, if needed. I will then ship the album by United States Postal Service Media Mail.
If you wish to have your album arrive within 3 days, I will need to send it via Priority Mail. This will cost more than double the Media Mail price, depending upon how far you live from California (my location). Contact me for a price if you want me to ship your record by Priority Mail.
COMBINED SHIPPING
If you purchase more than one album from me, I can place up to 3 albums into one carton. The first album will cost $4.00 to ship, the second will cost $4.50 and the third will cost $5.00 to ship. (MEDIA MAIL ONLY. Check with me for pricing if you are interested in combined shipping using Priority Mail.) Purchases must be made at the same time for combined shipping.
RETURNS
I accept returns for refund if notified within 30 days of delivery; however, the items must be in the same condition as when shipped (never played). The buyer is responsible for the cost of the return shipping. Once the record is returned, I will refund the buyer's purchase price and original shipping cost.
If you have questions, please ask and I will respond to you within 24 hours.
