They want to experience the album, but they don't want to play their "enviable" copy. Having spent the majority of my life in radio broadcasting, I really understand the vinyl thing, since that was the format when I was growing up in the industry. 

Here's the simple solution. Seek out and collect those perfect albums for your collection, but enjoy a good copy that you can play and play and play without worrying about the dog bumping into the turntable or the cat attempting to take a ride on. 

Most of the albums I offer have covers that show heavy wear from storage or transport.  

However, the records themselves are in decent shape. Don't expect a perfect record, but it will be one that you can slap on the turntable.
