This release is a transitional press from 1972 still using the legendary George Peckham mastering (Porky/Pecko duck) associated with the very expensive and sought after plum label. It has both the polydor matrix format and the later Kinney music format stamping hence it is known as transitional. This is variant 1 as listed on discogs with A3/B4 pressing identifiers. It has the misprint on the label of top instead of hop (side 2 track 1).

This lp plays superb with very light surface noise only noticeable during the quietest passages. There a couple of marks that don't get in the way of the listening and the audio is incredibly good!! Stairway sounds so warm and smooth really enjoyable. It doesn't have the original inner but has been vacuum cleaned and placed in an antistat sleeve.

The cover is in overall good condition with creases on the spine.

Using record collector grading I'd pitch the cover to be Very Good and the record a very good plus.

This description is an honest representation of this album that I've had in my collection and have well cared for and enjoyed - maybe played 1/2 a dozen times at most during my ownership. Sadly I'm selling off some of my collection to make space.

Any questions please ask.
