Comments: Her last of five 45’s on BARRY and a good ending it was indeed. A-side has high class mid-tempo crossover, but it’s the B-side that shines – an up-tempo seriously funky R&B mover with everything you can want.
Thelma screams and hollers, the horns are on the attack and the drummer makes sure the pace doesn’t let up. It’s been described elsewhere as Hammond funk (whatever that means). I doubt you will ever be able to find a better copy.
