Prestige 7053, “Thelonious Monk” from 1956.  Original cover.  West 50th St. label vinyl plays at VG+ with light background ticks on the outer tracks, but most of the vinyl is noise-free; vinyl has almost no marks except for a small press bubble that has no evident effect on sound.  The cover has light wear on lower seam and spine that is mainly color loss; there are no splits; there is mild wear on the lower corners; the jacket back is clean with no writing or stamps.  These are two sessions from 1953 an 1954 including “Let’s Call This”, “Think of One” (2 takes), “We See”, “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes”, “Locomotive”, and “Hackensack”.  Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $22.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire.  Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, I strongly recommend registered mail for $12.00 extra.  Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way.  This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides.  It is designed thick enough not to be caught in a postal conveyor belt and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window with no damage to LP or jacket.  Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.  All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
