My vinyl record rating guide: vinyl / sleeve
MINT- outstanding gloss, should have no surface scuffing at all / strong spine with clear, legible print, should be close to perfect
EX outstanding gloss, a few light superficial surface scuffs, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and the possibility of a little light background noise familiar to vinyl lovers most likely during the dead wax spots between tracks / strong spine with clear, legible print, may have a little light age wear to the cover or the corners
VG+ superb gloss, some light superficial surface scuffing, should play great with crisp, clear analog sound and some light occasional background noise possible / strong spine but the print may be compromised somewhat, some light age wear, but no seam splits or writing on the jacket unless noted in the description
VG nice gloss, multiple light superficial surface scuffs, should still play well but with a little more background noise possible, should still be an enjoyable listening experience and I will usually play rate these and make it known on the listing / cover should be functional but may have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description
GOOD good gloss, numerous scuffs, should play though but will have background noise, I will play rate these to make sure that the record plays through without skips, I will not list a record that skips, there may be a "click" on a few rotations, but I will note these in the description, I usually only list records that are more collectable at this rating / cover should be functional but will have some seam splits or writing, I will note all splits or writing in the description
FAIR I will only list these records if they are highly collectable and will describe each one individually
NOTE: Keep an eye out for some great LPs up for auction in the near future and check my store for more great records.

Title: Lee Konitz Plays With The Gerry Mulligan Quartet
Label: 1957 World Pacific records deep groove mono release PJM-406
Sleeve: VG (light shelf wear, 3" split seam, top seam at the spine, 2" split on the top seam at the opening, some tape on the jacket to hide a couple of other small splits)
Vinyl: EX (superb gloss, plays great, with crisp, clean analog sound and outstanding fidelity. there is one small bump from the factory that leads to a light "thump" on about 10 revolutions on the song "These Foolish Things", but that is about all of the background noise I heard on both sides, all records cleaned with my VPI record cleaning machine, I played both sides of this LP and it is a fantastic listening experience)
