Ultra Rare Doo Wop Male Vocal Group 45 - The Fabulous Continentals with Rufus Gilmore Combo - My Darling b/w This is My Prayer - on Burning Candle #5301 - 1960. "Globe Nashville" in the dead wax so it was pressed in Nashville.
Plays through well, no jumps. Some surface but overall sounds good. A solid VG for "My Darling" and the ballad/flip plays a nice VG+. There is a tiny wobble at the edge of the record that does not affect play with even a light amount of weight on your tonearm. It is shown in photo number two.
This record has very little know about it online. There is a video on ytube someone made that unfortunately features a photo of a group of white teens (most people we've played this for agree that this is not a white group). Luckily there is another video made by someone else, just search "Fabulous Continentals - This Is My Prayer / My Darling - Burning Candle 5301" Also"My Darling" was comp'd on "Rarest of the Rare : Vol.6" a CD compilation available on amazon. And thats about it unfortunately.
It's hard to value a 45 that has no sales record. Similarly rare doo wop 45's can sell in the $2,000 - $5,000 area so arbitrary pricing it is. We ship items this expensive with insurance and signature confirmation, if this is a problem or would prefer another service ala Fed Ex or UPS just let us know.
