OK, so lets get these auctions going!!! I've got quite a stash of stuff I will be putting up in the next couple of weeks as I thin out my collection. So check out my other auctions if I can try and be a little less lazy and get the goods up.
But I thought I would start out my auctions with something really good. But first....here is the disclosure...I don't own a record store and I don't buy and sell records. This is stuff from my collection of over 30 years that I am simply selling. I'm not exactly sure how to "grade" the records and such but I will do my best to give you all the details and be clear and honest. I've had this eBay account for over 20 years, btw, so you can assume that you are dealing with a rad dude. Thanks!

So here we have AFI's limited edition double red vinyl LP Sing the Sorrow. This album was created by legends Butch Big and Jerry Finn. If you don't know who they are.....welp.....In any case...I think Butch got involved because the Offspring were working with Butch Vig on the remake of their Bloodstains song for the Ready to Rumble soundtrack. And since Dexter owned Nitro Records at the time and since AFI was on Nitro, the dots were just kind of connected. Things did get a little messy towards the end with Nitro however as AFI was blowing up and wanted to change labels but they still owed Nitro one more. They worked things out.
The Good: These records are new and have never been played. They have never even been fully pulled out of the sleeves. They are glorious. And PERFECT.
The Bad: I was super bummed when I when to open this for the first time yesterday and the cardboard was stuck together. I know, bummer. I think I made the mistake of never opening it. Who knows, but you can see the damage to the inside part. A bit of the inside graphics got stuck on one side. Also, one of the corners has pretty minor wear. But thats where the bummer stops.
As I said, neither of these records have ever been played and are in MINT PERFECT condition. I'm including the photo of the AFI show poster from their Black Sails in the Sunset release because I WAS THERE at Slims in San Fran. It is not included nor is for sale. Oh my god, that show was incredible!!! Alan Forbes did the art as he did a lot of the art for AFI. Rad dude. My point is, I am/was a huge AFI fan. I have this album on CD also and so I never needed to play the vinyl. I could hold on to it, but let me be brutally honest.....I prefer their heavier side........"Through Are Bleeding We Are One!!"
Anyways, whoever gets it will love it. And like I said above, keep your eyes on my other auctions. They are from a similar genre. And yes, I worked in the industry at some point. Fun times. Thanks and peace and be safe everyone.
